Chilton Foliat: WWI War Memorial

In 1921, a new Lych Gate was erected at the entrance to St Mary’s Church, Chilton Foliat and two rows of lime trees planted leading up to the church, as a memorial to those that had fallen during the great war.  A total of nineteen local men are listed on a plaque inside the Lych Gate.
